The Ugly Secrets Behind The Secret by Rhonda Byrne



 

 Rhonda Byrne's DVD movie and book, The Secret, has been a phenomenal success in regards to sales and marketing.  Hundred of thousands, perhaps even millions of people credit The Secret for their own personal successes.  Admittedly, I too gave it more credit than I should have instead of giving myself due credit for my own efforts at success. 

However, the more involved I became with the marketing and sales of The Secret as an independent retailer, the more I became aware of reports of hypocrisy within The Secret production and publication companies.  Much has transpired since its release in March of 2006 and The Secret has become central to a great deal of controversy.  You may even include the topic of The Secret amongst the things NOT to talk about on a first date such as politics, religion, and abortion.  Any of these topics, now including The Secret will likely find you in the midst of a heated argument and perhaps even losing a friend or two depending on your perspective.

I've created this site in an effort to provide qualified information supporting both sides of this interesting debate.  Having first hand experiences with the good and bad about The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, I can assure you that I will try to be as fair as possible in presenting both sides so that you may render your own informed decision, whether for or against.

My name is John Valente.  I’ve been a gift and home decor retailer in San Diego since 1998.  My wife and I have added The Secret by Rhonda Byrne in its various products to our inventory in December of 2006.  A friend of ours had introduced us to The Secret about a month prior to that.  Before that introduction, we had never heard of it.  Now, we wish we had maintained that blissful ignorance!  For us, The Secret has not been a portal to the abundant Universe.  In fact, for us, The Secret, The Secret Production Company and its officers have been a source of arrogance, hypocricy, deceipt, and frustration.  There will be in depth explanations in the blog entries.
